We are a group of like-minded mycologists (mushroom identifiers) working to help others in their quest for mushroom knowledge. We enjoy continuously building this site and helping our members safely identify and collect mushrooms.

The site was started in 2009 by the licensed pharmacist Voytek Bereza, to help inspire the next generation of mycologists to find the knowledge they need to get outdoors and get started exploring nature's wonderful forests for mycological morsels and have fun! 

The concept of this site was initially deemed somewhat worrisome as it was thought that it may promote MISidentification of mushrooms, however, upon review, we came to the conclusion that with correct notification of our users and near incessant warning we can protect our users as best we can against erroneous identification.
